This week has been rather like watching paint dry.
Most of the time Fidge is sat incubating the eggs, leaving the nest cup only occasionally to preen or stretch her legs and wings and leaving the nest box rarely - perhaps less than half an hour in total each day. During all this time, Fudge - her mate - has continued to bring her food.
One noticeable development is the nest cup. Whilst incubating she switches between snoozing and weaving, and the latter has resulted in a finely woven and immaculately neat nest cup - compare the photograph below with one taken last week!
The chicks are due to hatch between 16th and 20th May.
